Britten at Aldeburgh, in concert and on film

I'm incredibly excited to have been asked to perform Britten's Canticle II, 'Abraham & Isaac' at The Red House, Aldeburgh on November 9th - also my birthday! What a present! And also to present a short film for the Britten-Pears Archive on the work.
'Abraham & Isaac' was written for performance by Peter Pears and Kathleen Ferrier, accompanied by Britten himself at the piano. They always had a great deal of fun during their concerts together - the photo above was taken with them all looking intently at a phone directory! I'm honoured, as a Lowestoft girl, to be performing this work in this place.
